This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under Swiss and EU data protection law (nFADP / GDPR).

What we collect

• Name, email address, phone number and any information you provide in enquiry or sign-up forms
• Booking details and correspondence
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited (via analytics, with your consent)
• Cookie data (see Cookies below)

Why we collect it

• To respond to enquiries and process bookings
• To provide and improve our services
• To send updates you have requested (the winter-ready chalet checklist and ActiveFusion property-management updates)
• To comply with legal obligations, including the guest registration and tourist-tax rules of the Commune of Val de Bagnes

Legal basis (GDPR)

We process data under: (a) contractual necessity, for bookings and enquiries; (b) legitimate interests, for improving our services; (c) consent, for marketing communications, which you can withdraw at any time.

Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with: Netlify (form processing and hosting, US, under Standard Contractual Clauses); Lodgify (booking management and the booking box on this site, which loads from Lodgify's servers when you use it); payment processors used by Lodgify to take card payments; and where legally required.

Data retention

Enquiry data is retained for up to 3 years. Booking records are retained for 10 years as required by Swiss law. You may request deletion at any time for data held under consent.

Your rights

• Access: request a copy of your personal data
• Rectification: correct inaccurate data
• Erasure: request deletion where we hold data under consent
• Portability: receive your data in a structured format
• Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests

Swiss residents may also lodge complaints with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). EU residents may lodge complaints with their national supervisory authority.
